Job summary

Parker Hannifin's Parker Aerospace division seeks a Sustaining Engineer to diagnose and resolve production and customer issues with hydraulic components and assemblies. You will collaborate with Production, Quality and Design Engineering to drive robust solutions and document findings.

The role emphasizes strong problem‑solving, teamwork, and effective communication as you support PFMEA/DFMEA activities and ensure conformance to specifications throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science field required.
  • 3–5 years of related experience in engineering environments.
  • Working knowledge of engineering design concepts and tools.
  • Ability to use CAD or modeling software and standard packages.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in operations alignment meetings to discuss production status.
  • Uses formal problem‑solving methods to investigate failures and returns.
  • Creates detailed instructions to document investigation steps.
  • Witnesses and analyzes hydraulic component testing and assembly.
  • Interfaces with customers, suppliers and internal teams to drive investigations.
  • Supports PFMEA / DFMEA and contributes to design improvements.
