Job summary

Hermeus is seeking a hands-on Quality & Reliability team member to support the full aircraft lifecycle, partnering with Engineering, Manufacturing, Subcontract Management, Program Management, and suppliers to ensure part conformity and robust RCCA.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering, 5+ years in aerospace quality, 3+ years supplier-facing, travel up to 50%, strong communication, and ability to read technical documents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in aviation or aerospace manufacturing/quality environment.
• Minimum of 3 years in Supplier Quality or similar supplier-facing roles.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills; curiosity for innovation and reliability improvements.
• Strong communication skills and ability to read and provide feedback on technical documents.
• Strong command of quality tools (RCCA, FMEA, 8D, SPC).
• Ability to travel up to approximately 50% of the time.
• US-Person Status required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Quality support for Supply Chain; partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Subcontract Management, Program Management, and suppliers.
• Travel to supplier sites (~50%) to facilitate development activities, remedial actions, and supplier audits.
• Support qualification and onboarding of new suppliers.
• Inspect components to internal/industry standards; drive RCCA via SCARs when nonconformances found.
• Review documentation and verify supplier certifications/specifications.
• Approve or reject items based on inspection results.
• Communicate with internal customers and suppliers to resolve discrepancies and packaging issues.
• Use MES/QMS to document issues, route parts, and workflows.
• Support ongoing QMS development, continuous improvement, and lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Escalate roadblocks to leadership to ensure on-time delivery.
• Apply process improvement tools to reduce supplier quality issues.
