Job summary

OEM Logistics, LLC is seeking a Supplier Specialist to manage supplier performance and delivery with frequent local travel. The role emphasizes collaboration, risk reduction, and root-cause analysis to meet aerospace/defense customer requirements.

The position requires US citizenship, a college degree or equivalent experience, and 5–10 years in manufacturing. Travel is local, with opportunities regionally. Background checks and drug screening are required.

Qualifications

• US citizenship required.
• College degree preferred. May substitute experience for education.
• Minimum five to ten years of manufacturing experience (Aerospace/Defence/Ship Building).
• Must have a valid driver’s license and pass a pre-employment motor vehicle history check.
• Expertise in Supply Chain Management, Production Control, and Shop Floor Management.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, PDCA preferred.
• Strong project management experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop a partnership with assigned suppliers and meet customer requirements.
• Manage Open Order Report with supplier to minimize risk and improve delivery.
• Track delivery performance trends and perform root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Drive timely closure of corrective actions and communicate progress in writing.
• Collaborate with sub-tiers to improve communication and production commitments.
• Facilitate cross-functional communication to prevent delays.
