Job summary

OEM Logistics, LLC is looking for a Supplier Specialist to manage supplier relationships and ensure on-time delivery for aerospace/defense manufacturing. Travel locally is frequent and regional opportunities exist for flexible individuals.

The role requires strong collaboration with cross-functional teams and ongoing supplier performance analysis. The candidate should have 5–10 years of manufacturing experience, US citizenship, and a college degree or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

• US citizenship required.
• Minimum of five to ten years of manufacturing experience (Aerospace/Defense/Ship Building/Submarine preferred).
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and pass a motor vehicle history check.
• Expertise in Supply Chain Management, Production Control, and Shop Floor Management.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and PDCA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop a partnership with assigned suppliers to meet customer requirements.
• Manage the supplier's Open Order Report with the supplier to minimize risk and identify delivery improvements.
• Manage delivery performance trends and initiate root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Facilitate timely closure of corrective actions.
• Work with sub-tiers to improve communication and establish production commitments.
• Drive cross-functional department communication to prevent delays.
• Provide written updates on mission-critical parts and overall delivery performance.
• Periodic local travel is required.
• Other duties as required.
