Qualifications

• 5+ years in a mechanical hardware manufacturing or manufacturing engineering role with aerospace focus.
• Ability to analyze and explain 2D drawings and critical features of mechanical components.
• Ability to travel to domestic and international suppliers ~50%+ of the time.
• Preference for MS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and CAD proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Process Improvement: Audit and embed into core supplier processes to improve cost, lead-times, and quality.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct on-site audits to root cause supplier quality issues or performance challenges.
• Supplier Development: Assess and improve supplier capabilities aligned with engineering and operations.
• Engineering Technical Support: Provide guidance on part specifications, manufacturing processes and standards.
• Supplier Performance Monitoring: Track delivery, quality, and cost; implement corrective actions.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate supply chain risks to ensure uninterrupted production.
• New Product Introduction (NPI): Support supplier readiness during development to meet requirements.
