Job summary

Virgin Galactic in Mesa is seeking a Structures Technician to support our Manufacturing team in a fast-paced aerospace environment. The role focuses on bonding and assembly processes for airframes, fixturing, drilling, sealing, fastener installation, and testing under safety-guided procedures.

You will fabricate and assemble composite parts, operate shop tools, read drawings, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project timelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least two years as a technician in aerospace or high-reliability field.
• Experience with hands-on aircraft manufacturing with composite and/or metallic airframes.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings/blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble composite parts and assemblies of varying complexities and sizes.
• Safely and correctly utilize shop tools/machinery including drills, die grinder, and calipers.
• Drill holes in composite and metal structures, including stack-ups.
• Work with various fastener types (Hi-Lite, Hi-Lok, Composi-Lok).
• Hands-on aircraft manufacturing with composite and metallic airframes.
• Adhere to directions from team leader to support collaboration across teams.
