Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Structures Shift Leader on Space Coast, FL to supervise a team of Structures Technicians in fabrication, drilling, alignment, and assembly of aerospace structures. You will drive safety, quality, and schedule attainment while guiding a technical workforce on the production floor.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in aerospace manufacturing, structures assembly, or related field.
• 2+ years leading production teams or shift operations.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing specs.
• Experience with structural drilling and precision assembly.
• Experience with precision measuring equipment (torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers).
• Coordinate across Manufacturing Eng, Quality, Planning, and Supply Chain.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making in fast-paced production.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Structures Technicians in fabrication, drilling, assembly and alignment of aerospace structures.
• Promote safety, quality, accountability and operational excellence on every shift.
• Execute daily production plan balancing safety, quality, delivery and labor efficiency.
• Conduct shift startup meetings, set priorities, identify risks, and coordinate recoveries.
• Ensure work follows engineering drawings, instructions, specs and standard work.
• Monitor center performance and remove bottlenecks with cross-functional teams.
• Provide technical guidance for assembly, fixturing, alignment, and installation.
• Ensure tooling and measurement devices are calibrated and used correctly.
• Drive First Pass Yield, defect prevention and NCR reduction through root-cause analysis.
• Lead troubleshooting and escalate technical risks as needed.
• Develop technician capability through coaching, cross-training and standardized work.
• Own shift metrics: safety, quality, delivery, cost, labor, YIELD and schedule adherence.
• Lead Lean initiatives, 5S, continuous improvement, and standard work.
• Support NPI, prototype builds and production readiness.
• Provide accurate reporting, handoffs, and cross-functional communication.
• Support hiring, onboarding and career development of manufacturing personnel.
