Job summary

Relativity Space in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Structures Engineer to drive architecture, sizing, and development of vehicle structures such as tanks, thrust structures, and mechanisms for Terran R. You will build analyses at component, system, and vehicle levels and help develop novel techniques for reusable launch vehicles.

You will work with cross‑functional teams, perform tests, data processing, and contribute to design decisions.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering and 2+ years in an analysis role.
• Knowledge of metallic structure behavior, fatigue, strength, and stability.
• Experience with structural analysis tools and test methods.

Responsibilities

• Drive architecture, sizing, and development of structures for tanks and mechanisms.
• Build, execute, and validate structures analyses at component, system, and vehicle levels.
• Develop novel structural analysis techniques for reusable launch vehicles.
• Lead design engineers in applying structural principles to satisfy requirements.
• Develop and execute tests including instrumentation setup and data processing.
