Job summary

Moseley Technical Services, Inc. is seeking an Aerospace Test & Evaluation Lab Technician to support structural testing, materials evaluation, and mechanical characterization of aerospace components in Tukwila, WA.

The role involves executing mechanical tests on aerospace materials and assemblies using servo-hydraulic systems, MTS software, and data acquisition tools, while ensuring compliance with aerospace specifications.

Qualifications

• Associate degree and typically 1+ years of related experience.
• Minimum 2+ years in a laboratory, testing, engineering, manufacturing, or technical environment.
• Experience with mechanical testing, materials testing, or structural testing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Windows-based computer systems and standard PC applications.
• Mechanical aptitude with test setups, equipment operation, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to follow detailed test procedures, engineering instructions, and safety requirements.
• Experience collecting, documenting, and reporting technical data.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mechanical testing of aerospace materials, components, and assemblies to determine properties and performance.
• Develop and validate test articles, fixtures, and instrumentation to meet test objectives.
• Operate servo-hydraulic and mechanical test frames with MTS software and data systems.
• Execute tests per ASTM and aerospace specifications.
• Coordinate test methods, equipment capabilities, and instrumentation approaches.
• Collaborate with design engineering and fabrication teams to support test readiness.
• Operate test equipment and execute approved test plans and procedures.
• Follow safety plans and checklists; document results and findings.
• Prepare technical reports and engineering documentation for reviews.
• Support multiple concurrent test programs and assist team members.
