Job summary

LEONARDO HELICOPTERS US CORPORATION in Philadelphia seeks a Structural Repair Engineer II to support in-service structural issues for the Americas. You will work in a cross-functional team, performing design and analysis of repairs and liaising with global engineering functions.

The role requires flexibility, some travel up to 10%, and potential hybrid work after a training period. Travel and weekend coverage may be needed.

Qualifications

B.S./B.Eng or M.S./M.Eng in Aerospace/Structural/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
3-5 years of aerospace structural design/analysis, including 2 years in sheet metal or composite repairs.
Proficiency in static structural analysis; experience with fatigue and damage tolerance; CAD skills.

Responsibilities

Evaluate in-service structural queries and determine required deliverables with minimal supervision.
Design structural repairs to restore static strength and damage tolerance; draft repair schemes.
Perform stress analysis (hand calculations and FEA) and write certification reports.
Provide engineering support during incidents and coordinate activities to bring projects to close.
Contribute to repair manuals and support fleet engineering with cross-functional collaboration.
Support Service Engineering and Fleet Control Center during non-standard work weeks and weekends.
