Job summary

Albany International Corporation is seeking an experienced assembler to join its aerospace manufacturing team. You will assemble and fit pre-fabricated metallic and composite parts to form assemblies, reading aircraft assembly instructions, diagrams and drawings to ensure precise fit and bonding.

Day-to-day tasks include using hand and power tools, maintaining a clean work area, and collaborating with quality personnel to keep production on schedule.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of experience with complex aircraft assembly requested/desirable.
• A&P certification is desirable.
• Shop floor math skills and ability to read drawings/blueprints are required.
• 1–2 years of experience using hand and power tools is required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and fit pre-fabricated metallic and composite parts to form assemblies, reading aircraft assembly instruction plans, diagrams, drawings and other documentation for accurate assembly.
• Utilize hand and power tools to assemble components with fasteners and bonding agents.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Work with quality department personnel to keep production assemblies in proper sign-off levels and within inspection procedures.
