Job summary

A technical services company is seeking an entry-level Aerospace Source Inspector for a part-time position in Novi, MI. Candidates will perform in-process and final inspections according to AS9102 Quality Standards and must understand complex engineering drawings and GD&T. This role requires US citizenship and periodic travel within a 150-mile radius. Compensation is approximately $80,017 annually, offered as a W2 contract. Flexible and occasional assignments are expected.

Job Description

• The ability to perform in-process and final source inspections including First Article inspections per AS9102 Quality Standards (Basic inspection requirements, ability to read a PO, drawing, determine if an FAI has been approved).
• The ability to read and understand complex engineering drawings, specifications, geometric dimensioning and tolerances per ANSI / ASME Y 14.5. This position requires knowledge of GD&T and handheld measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc).
• A checklist will be provided for reference.

Candidate must pass a GE quiz.

Additional Information

• It is a part-time assignment (activity is occasional).
• Candidate should be willing to travel, and support suppliers within a 150-mile radius of Detroit, MI.
• Applicant must be a US Citizen; we are unable to sponsor at this time.
• W2 contract position to work on an as-needed basis.
