Job summary

Sapsol Technologies Inc. seeks a Software Process Auditor to oversee aerospace software development compliance and regulatory adherence across projects in the United States.

You will interface with systems and software teams, review requirements, design and test documentation, and mentor junior staff while traveling as needed.

Candidates should have 11+ years in aerospace/defense software processes, DO-178/DO-254 experience, and strong communication.

Qualifications

  • Experience with aerospace/defense software processes (DO-178, DO-254, ARP-4754, MIL-STD-498)
  • Government and FAA project experience preferred
  • Audit techniques understood
  • Software development and testing methods understood
  • Interpret specs/contracts for process compliance
  • Software requirements development experience
  • C/C++ and Ada embedded programming knowledge
  • Embedded verification background
  • Strong communication skills (written/oral)
  • MS Office proficiency

Responsibilities

  • Interface with systems and software development personnel, test and evaluation personnel, and project managers.
  • Work well in a team, with excellent customer interface and interpersonal skills.
  • Rapidly come up to speed with software process auditor scope, requirements, risks, and milestones.
  • Review/approve system, software and test equipment requirements and documentation for process compliance.
  • Collaborate with engineering to ensure contractual and company process conformance.
  • Participate in software change control boards.
  • Moderate travel may be required to support program activities and auditing software suppliers.
  • Mentor and train junior employees as required

Job description

This position monitors every phase of thesoftwaredevelopment process to ensure designquality, making sure that the aircraft deliveredsoftwareadheres to the standards set by the development company and satisfies regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 11 years directly related work experience with aerospace/defense industrysoftwareprocesses (such as RTCA DO-178, RTCA DO-254, SAE ARP-4754, MIL-STD-498, etc.)
  • Experience with government customers projects preferred.
  • Experience with FAA projects preferred.
  • Must demonstrate basic understanding of audit techniques.
  • Must demonstrate basic understanding ofsoftwaredevelopment methods andsoftwaretesting methods.
  • Must have the ability to interpret schematic drawings, specifications, contracts that will enable development and review of systems &softwareprocesses.
  • Experience insoftwarerequirements development.
  • Softwaredesign and coding (C/C++, Ada, or other embedded programming languages)
  • Embeddedsoftware/hardware verification background or knowledge
  • Effective Communication Skills: Written, Oral, Listening, Presentation, Technical Writing
  • Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Job Responsibilities:

Education:
  • BS degree required, in one of the following disciplines: Computer Science, ComputerEngineering, ElectricalEngineering (preferred)
