Job summary

You will conduct audits, oversee requirements, design, testing, and documentation, and collaborate with systems engineering, software, and test teams to uphold quality. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in software/quality engineering, DO-178C expertise, and strong communication skills for auditing

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software, systems, or quality engineering.
• DO-178C experience required, with DO-254/ARP-4754 preferred.
• Strong audit, verification, and process improvement skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform software and hardware process audits of engineering work products across the full development lifecycle.
• Review, monitor, and approve engineering work products, including release packages and associated artifacts.
• Participate in all software and hardware technical reviews; prepare and deliver SQA presentations and formal status reports.
• Conduct process audits and provide quality oversight for supplier artifacts, activities, and compliance.
• Witness and monitor testing procedures and results to ensure the delivered product meets established quality, reliability, and program requirements.
• Collaborate closely with systems engineering, software development, test teams, and project management.
• Mentor engineering personnel regarding quality processes, compliance requirements, and industry standards.
• Ensure consistent adherence to Bell and Textron development processes, guidelines, and quality requirements.
• Rapidly gain proficiency in the software quality audit process and associated workflows.
• Work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively within a cross-functional team environment.
