Job summary

Intuitive Machines is seeking a Software Project Manager in Houston, TX to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex software projects for flight-critical aerospace systems.

The role requires 7+ years in software development with at least 3+ years managing software projects and teams, plus strong leadership and stakeholder management skills. This full-time on-site position offers opportunities to guide software across flight, ground, and simulation domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of software development experience with 3+ years in managing software projects/teams.
• Proven track record delivering complex technical projects on schedule and budget.
• Strong understanding of software lifecycles (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid).
• Experience with JIRA, MS Project, Confluence; PMP/PMI-ACP/CSM certification preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full software project lifecycle from planning to delivery for flight software and ground systems.
• Direct a cross-functional team of software engineers and test engineers across multiple domains.
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, resources, scope, and baselines.
• Track milestones, manage risks, and report status, metrics, and forecasts to leadership.
• Serve as primary software point of contact for internal stakeholders and customers.
• Foster collaboration and continuous improvement across the organization.
• Lead bi-weekly sprint planning and related Agile ceremonies.
