Job summary

Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California seeks an Engineering Applications Software Engineer to design, develop, and modify engineering applications for spacecraft, instruments, and mission software systems.

You will also support inflight vehicle operations and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability and performance of power and spacecraft software assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's in Software Eng, CS, EE, or related field with 1 year experience (or MS with 0).
• Knowledge in modelling & simulation, algorithms, and power systems.
• Understanding of advanced Systems Engineering principles.
• Experience with C/C++/Java/Python on UNIX/Linux or real-time OS.
• Experience with GitHub and JIRA.

Responsibilities

• Utilize engineering expertise to translate customer needs into requirements and deliver quality applications.
• Involved in the full lifecycle: planning, development, deployment, maintenance.
• Meet software operational and engineering requirements.
