Job summary

RTX is seeking an intern/coop for a software-focused role based on-site in Marlborough, MA. The program runs January 2027 to August 2027 and requires eligibility for a U.S. security clearance with U.S.

citizenship and ability to obtain interim clearance. You will contribute to software that integrates real-time systems, ML, cyber security, and DevOps practices. Ideal candidates are enrolled in STEM, with experience in C/C++ or Java, and show strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a STEM Bachelor’s degree and expected to be Junior or higher by summer 2027.
• Experience with C, C++, or Java.
• ABET accreditation is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in requirements, design, development and testing of application software.
• Design, code, test, integrate and document software solutions.
• Review software components with internal teams and projects.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineering professionals.
• Work on defined problems with clear scope, schedule and expectations.
• Maintain configuration management of software products.
