Job summary

RTX, a leading aerospace company, seeks a student engineer for an onsite internship in Cedar Rapids to design, develop, and test avionics sensor simulations. You will debug laboratory issues, collaborate with a Scrum team, and contribute to multiple avionics programs during the internship/co-op.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical, Software, Aerospace Engineering, or related engineering major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session.
• Experience with C/C++
• Experience with Python scripting

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test applications to simulate the behavior of avionics sensors to support the development and testing of Collins Avionics products.
• Aid the development team in debugging laboratory issues to determine root cause and propose potential solutions.
• Effectively interacts with teammates, management, and customers.
• Support the Program Lead(s) with budget and schedule data for our work on a given program.
• Work with a team of dedicated engineers to help shape the future of the avionics simulation platform.
