Job summary

Karman Space & Defense in Mukilteo, WA, seeks an experienced aerospace/ mechanical engineer to lead planning, execution, and delivery of complex programs integrating engineering, manufacturing, quality, and customer requirements.

You will guide cross-functional teams, manage cost, schedule, and technical risks, coordinate with customers and stakeholders, and support business development through proposals and meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or a related technical field.
• At least 5 years of engineering experience, including 2 years in aerospace or systems engineering.
• Proven ability to develop, plan, and execute projects.
• Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams and managing cost, schedule, scope, and risks.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of complex aerospace programs that integrate engineering, manufacturing, quality, and customer requirements.
• Guide cross-functional teams and coordinate customer and stakeholder communications.
• Support business development through proposals and meetings and ensure proper documentation.
• Track program performance with key metrics and manage risks and mitigations.

Education

Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering

Master's degree in related technical field or MBA
