Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk in Colorado Springs to coordinate receipt, inspection, and shipment of materials and finished goods. You will maintain accurate inventory records, ensure traceability, and support production operations while following company procedures and safety standards.

Responsibilities include verifying quantities, inspecting shipments, preparing outbound docs, and coordinating with carriers to meet delivery schedules.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and 1+ years of related shipping, receiving, warehouse, or manufacturing experience.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and inventory transactions.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory management systems.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Two or more years of experience in shipping, receiving, inventory control, or manufacturing operations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience with shipping documentation.

Responsibilities

• Receives incoming materials, supplies, components, and customer-provided parts, verifying quantities and documentation against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Inspects incoming and outgoing shipments for visible damage, discrepancies, and proper identification.
• Prepares, packages, labels, and processes outgoing shipments in accordance with customer requirements and established procedures.
• Generates and maintains shipping and receiving documentation, including packing slips, shipping labels, and material traceability records.
• Coordinates incoming and outgoing shipments with carriers and internal departments to support delivery schedules.
• Proper material handling and safety practices.
