Job summary

Sonaca North America in Auburn, WA, is seeking multiple Assemblers for our 2nd shift to drill, deburr and assemble sheet metal components, ensuring they are ready for final assembly. You will follow process specifications, read blueprints, use precision measuring tools, and communicate with teammates to uphold safety, quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications include 2+ years in sheet metal assembly, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

• 2+ years of assembly experience with sheet metal.
• Previous aircraft experience or sheet metal work is preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude to interpret work instructions and assemble parts.
• Must communicate effectively with team members on a regular basis.
• Prior experience with blueprints and precision measuring devices is a plus.
• Skilled at using a variety of small hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Follow process specifications, work orders, blueprints, and engineering instructions.
• Interpret documents to determine sequence and methods for sheet metal assembly and repair.
• Pull parts from bin and report shortages to supervisor.
• Work with different gauges/types of sheet metal aluminum per product specs.
• Prepare components and load onto jig/fixture; drill, ream, rivet and finish parts to spec.
• Trim, file, deburr, buff and finish surfaces; inspect for conformance.
• Call for inspections; participate in rework to eliminate non-conformance.
• Identify and report improper operation or faulty materials to supervisor.
