Job summary

RTX in Rockford, IL is seeking a motivated student for a full-time co-op session in a aerospace/defense environment. You will gather field data, assist root cause analysis, and help develop training materials while working closely with engineers and operators.

The role requires enrollment in an engineering degree program (Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace) and experience with Python. Hybrid on-site/off-site work and US citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering.
• Actively enrolled through the internship/co-op session.
• Experience with Python.

Responsibilities

• Gather field data, assist in root cause analysis, corrective action plans, and implementation of service bulletins.
• Address issues related to in-service aircraft and component repair.
• Document and communicate technical information to technical/non-technical stakeholders.
• Develop and verify training materials used in OEM/operator training classes.
• Validate and update technical service engineering documentation.
• Help ensure product enhancements/improvements are complete and accurate through review of engineering data and implementation instructions.
