Job summary

100Hires, Inc. seeks a Senior Inspector to perform semi-complex dimensional inspections and ensure parts meet specifications for safety and quality. This on-site, 3rd shift role supports production and quality stakeholders and requires accuracy in documentation and certification records.

You will read blueprints, interpret drawings, and apply GD&T with experience in AS9102 First Article inspections, CMMs, and NDT basics. A high school diploma is required; US applicants apply.

Qualifications

• First Article inspection experience per AS9102.
• Mechanical inspection experience and GD&T knowledge.
• Experience reviewing supplier certifications (material certs, special process certs, test reports).
• Proficiency reading and interpreting blueprints, customer specs, and internal drawings/procedures.
• Working knowledge of shop mathematics including trigonometry.
• Nondestructive testing basics and daily checks.
• Experience with ANSI Y14.5 for dimensioning and tolerancing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate acceptance and rejection records and certification systems per specifications.
• Inspect parts, tools, and instruments to determine acceptance or rejection; identify defects and document results.
• Perform semi-complex dimensional inspections using various measuring instruments and adapt setups for samples, forgings, and castings.
• Interpret specifications, blueprints, and technical documents to assess acceptability; perform dimension and tolerance conversions.
• Calibrate semi-complex measuring and test equipment and document calibration intervals.
• Perform nondestructive testing, daily checks and equipment setup, while maintaining safety and FOD-free areas.
• Investigate customer return failures and assist source inspectors; document and evaluate inspection results.
