Job summary

Kaman Air Vehicles in Bloomfield, CT is hiring a Rotor Blade Repair and Manufacturing Technician. You will support manufacturing, assembly, inspection, repair, restoration, and balancing of rotor blade components using adhesives and composite materials.

Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to follow drawings, specifications, and OEM data are essential. Production environment with safety and quality focus.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret work instructions, drawings and OEM data.
• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and use hand tools and measuring equipment.
• Know or learn composite manufacturing/repair processes.
• Maintain accuracy, documentation, and teamwork.
• Basic math and computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Follow engineering drawings, work instructions, and data to perform repairs and manufacturing.
• Manufacture and assemble rotor blade components using adhesives and composites.
• Escalate nonconformances to Engineering/Quality as required.
• Perform composite repair activities including surface prep, bonding, layup, curing, finishing.
• Conduct blade repairs and maintain surface condition and coatings as needed.
• Balance components and use precision measuring tools to verify specifications.
• Document work, maintain traceability, and follow quality procedures.
