Job summary

Velocity Aerospace in Burbank, CA is seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Inspector to review customer documentation, create shop travelers, and ensure all information is accurate before release to Production.

You'll inspect incoming aircraft panels, photograph condition, verify part numbers and serial numbers, and coordinate with Quality, Customer Service, and Production to resolve discrepancies. Prior aviation or aerospace experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years in receiving, inspection, or related field.
• Strong attention to detail when reviewing part numbers and documentation.
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain accurate records.
• Document findings with notes and photographs.
• Strong organization and ability to manage priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and ERP systems.
• Careful handling of customer property.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming aircraft panels and components for visible damage.
• Photograph and document the condition of received customer property.
• Review customer purchase orders, part numbers, serial numbers for accuracy.
• Create and complete shop travelers with requirements and routing.
• Identify modification units and attach drawings or instructions.
• Identify potential warranty units and provide prior repair information.
• Resolve missing or conflicting part numbers and customer requirements.
• Document repair classifications and certification requirements.
• Enter or scan received-unit information and maintain records.
• Route new part numbers for review per procedures.
• Mark shipping containers with work-order numbers.
• Communicate discrepancies to the Chief Inspector, Quality, Customer Service, Production.
• Maintain records and assist Receiving/Quality admin work.
