Key responsibilities include translating requirements into specifications, coding and testing, and ensuring quality across SDLC phases while adhering to security and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 1+ year software engineering experience.
• Experience with C/C++ for real time or safety critical systems.
• Proficiency with Bash, Python, or Perl scripting.
• Experience using Git and GitLab for source control and CI/CD.
• Ability to create detailed specifications and test docs.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and version control best practices.

Responsibilities

• Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities.
• Design, develop, document, test, and debug software to solve mission problems.
• Apply standards and tools throughout the development lifecycle.
• Translate requirements into detailed software specifications and designs.
• Design, code, and unit test C/C++ components for real time or safety critical applications.
• Develop and execute unit, integration, and system tests and record results.
• Participate in all SDLC phases from requirements to production hand-off.
• Identify and correct program errors; create operating instructions and docs.
• Analyze system capabilities to clarify program intent and data handling.
• Ensure software deliverables meet quality and compliance standards.
