Job summary

Sigma Castings in Wisconsin is seeking a Quality Technician to ensure product compliance and material integrity throughout the investment casting process. You will perform receiving, in-process and final inspections, and support metallurgical testing.

Working with quality engineers and production staff, you will verify dimensional conformance, maintain traceability, and help uphold AS9100D and Nadcap standards on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED; associate degree preferred.
• 2+ years in aerospace quality, inspection, or foundry environments.
• Must read aerospace blueprints and GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
• Proficient with precision inspection tools and Excel/ERP software.
• Physical ability to lift up to 35–40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving, in-process and final inspections on raw materials and castings per drawings and travelers.
• Prepare metallographic samples and conduct hardness testing, grain size analysis, and chem verification.
• Operate precision measuring tools and perform routine gage calibration and dimensional checks.
• Support AS9102 FAIR data collection for customer quality packages.
• Identify non-conforming material, issue NCRs, and ensure lot/heat traceability.
• Audit internal processes for AS9100D and Nadcap compliance.
