Job summary

Magellan Aerospace is a global employer specializing in complex assemblies and systems for aerospace, defence and space sectors. The Quality Specialist will ensure products and processes meet contractual requirements by implementing and monitoring quality plans for sand castings, including process validation, inspection methods, nonconforming material control and acceptance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in aerospace manufacturing quality role.
• Experience with AS9100 and Nadcap environments.
• Experience performing 8D and root-cause corrective actions.
• Familiarity with APQP and PPAP.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Verify technical requirements with internal and external customers and oversee sand casting processes.
• Interpret drawings and perform contract reviews.
• Support product/process approvals and PPAP, measure process capability.
• Lead RCA using 8D methodology and implement corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement to increase yield and reduce scrap.
• Participate in FMEA and control plan development.
• Provide shop floor training and support functions as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Glendale management.
