Job summary
Actalent seeks a Quality Engineering Technician to perform complex inspections of tooling, forged, and machined parts in Fontana, CA. You will support the Lead Quality Engineer by measuring equipment and customer parts, validating product dimensions, and documenting quality data for internal and customer teams.
The role is a permanent, on-site position in a heavy industrial forging environment with opportunities for growth into Quality Engineering roles. Competitive benefits and pay.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of inspection experience in manufacturing.
- AA or BS degree required.
- Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
- Familiarity with AS9100 quality standards.
- Understanding of aerospace and manufacturing engineering processes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct complex inspections and testing of tooling, forged, and machined parts.
- Support the lead Quality Engineer with precise measurement of equipment and customer parts.
- Perform standard inspection tasks using hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Ensure compliance with product dimension specifications.
- Validate and communicate manufacturing processes and product quality documentation to customers and internal teams.
