Job summary

Ace Precision Machining is seeking an Inspector to join our quality team on site. You will inspect sheet stock, weldments, machined parts, castings, and assemblies for conformity to specifications and perform final visual checks for defects.

You will learn marking processes and assist with receiving inspections, using calipers, micrometers, indicators, and basic CMM techniques. We value detail, reliability, and a willingness to learn, with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Previous quality inspection experience preferred, but not required.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Dependable, organized, and willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Inspect sheet stock, weldments, machined parts, castings, and assemblies for quality and conformance to specifications.
• Perform final visual inspections to identify defects such as cracks, pits, dents, burrs, nicks, and incomplete welds.
• Learn and perform part-marking processes (Chemical Etch, Bar Code Labels, Ink Stamping, Laser Etching, Dot Peen, Vibra-Pencil).
• Assist with receiving inspection and verify materials meet specifications and PO requirements.
• Use inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, scales, thread gages, and bore gages.
• Perform basic measurements and material hardness checks.
• Learn basic CMM inspection functions (diameter, roundness).
• Compare completed parts to drawings, routings, parts lists, specs, and sample models.
• Review supplier certifications and calibration records; maintain inspection documentation.
• Identify defective parts and communicate quality concerns to the Quality Supervisor.
