Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. in Kansas seeks a seasoned quality professional to serve as a Customer Quality Representative, coordinating non-conformances with customers and driving improvements across manufacturing processes.

The role requires auditing and data presentation in customer meetings and applying quality systems knowledge to contractual requirements. The position emphasizes collaboration with engineering and operations, process capability analysis, and implementing corrective actions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a quality discipline, preferably in inspection, aerospace, or manufacturing.
• Experience working with engineering drawings and customer specifications.
• MS Office (PowerPoint & Excel) experience.

Responsibilities

• Represent Spirit as a customer quality representative (CQS). Coordinate non-conformances with the customer and provide visibility.
• Review all non-conformances that may be sensitive (CSI) to the customer and end user.
• Attend, interface and present data during customer meetings.
• Develop and administer long-range customer inspection plans, acting as agent/designee for customer.
• Plan and coordinate manufacturing improvements (hardware/tool acceptance, variability reduction, supplier development, assembly operations).
• Perform design reviews to ensure quality is engineered into the product and tooling.
• Apply engineering knowledge to analyze contracts, drawings, and specifications for quality applications.
• Perform configuration audits and reviews of products, tools, and processes.
• Compile, measure and analyze process capability data, and perform trend analyses and risk assessments.
• Apply root-cause analysis to plan and coordinate process improvements.
• Ensure sequenced inspection control points and maintain inspection accountability systems.
• Identify, evaluate and implement preventative measures and corrective actions.
• Provide education and coaching on the Quality Management System and Manufacturing Verification Process.
