Job summary

ThermAvant Technologies, LLC is seeking a Quality Manager to lead the Quality Assurance and Quality Control functions for aerospace-grade products. You will drive the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001, FAA requirements, and customer specs.

You will partner with Engineering, Supply Chain, Program Management, and Operations to prevent defects, improve reliability, and reduce scrap while fostering a culture of quality across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• Typically 5–10 years of experience in quality management, quality engineering, or manufacturing quality.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001 requirements.
• Experience leading quality departments or teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, auditing, and nonconformance management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Quality Assurance department, including staffing and performance management.
• Develop and execute quality strategies aligned with business objectives and customer expectations.
• Manage audits (internal, supplier, customer, registrar) and corrective actions.
• Oversee QMS maintenance and compliance with AS9100/ISO9001 and applicable FAA requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce scrap and enhance product reliability.
