Job summary

DCX-CHOL Enterprises Inc. is seeking a Quality Inspector I to join our aerospace manufacturing team in Pekin, IL.

The role focuses on precision inspection of cables, connectors, and assemblies using CMMs and a range of gauges to ensure conformance to drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent with QA or aerospace training, experience in aerospace quality inspection, and strong GD&T and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in quality assurance or aerospace technology.
• Experience as an aerospace quality inspector or similar role.
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges, and CMM.
• Familiarity with AS9100 and ISO 9001.
• Strong GD&T understanding.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Knowledge of safety protocols.
• DRO systems and data entry experience.
• Certification in quality inspection methods is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Use precision measuring tools to assess dimensions, tolerances, and alignments per drawings.
• Inspect at various stages from raw materials to final assembly.
• Record and document inspection results with accuracy.
• Collaborate with manager and production teams on quality concerns.
• Conduct visual inspections for surface defects and cosmetic standards.
• Use CMM and metrology equipment for complex features and 3D components.
• Ensure proper torque with torque wrenches during assembly.
• Analyze measurement data to accept or reject components.
• Maintain a safe, organized work environment following aerospace practices.
