Job summary

Anduril Industries in Morrisville, NC is seeking a Quality Inspector to join our growing team. You will visually, manually, and digitally inspect products and raw materials, measure dimensions with calipers and micrometers, and run tests including Tap testing and NDT/NDI methods to ensure adherence to design and QMS requirements.

The role requires a HS diploma, eligibility for a U.S. TS clearance, and 1–3 years in composite fabrication or aerospace.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting: Visually, manually, and digitally examining products and raw materials to ensure they meet Anduril standards as described by engineering, both internal and external, as well as quality management system (QMS) requirements.
• Measuring: Using calipers, gauges, micrometers, and/or metrology to measure product dimensions to verify they match the design.
• Testing: Running tests to identify defects and using machines to test products via Tap testing, manual testing, and NDT/NDI methods.
• Comparing: Comparing products to a model to ensure they meet high standards.
• Recording: Reporting inspection and test data, such as weights, temperatures, and quantities inspected.
• Adjusting: Recommending adjustments to the assembly or production process.
• Rejecting: Removing/Red tagging products and materials that don't meet specifications until the issue is resolved.
• Communicating: Communicating product quality standards to Technicians, leads, and managers.
