Job summary

Textron Systems is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform inspections and tests across materials, in-process items, and finished goods to uphold quality standards. Qualifications

• 1–2 years in a similar position.
• Knowledge of manufacturing and quality assurance processes and/or procedures.
• Knowledge of military and commercial quality specifications.
• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control.
• Knowledge of digital and analog circuitry.
• Knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical inspection.
• Knowledge of workmanship standards.
• Knowledge of packaging and preservation requirements.
• Understanding of Total Quality principles and concepts.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to use electrical and mechanical inspection equipment.
• Ability to develop and/or use inspection setups.
• Basic algebraic skills.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret detailed specs, drawings, procedures, and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform audits, tests, and inspections of materials, goods in process, or finished goods.
• Apply established inspection procedures and use go/no-go tools.
• Develop or use test setups with mechanical and/or electrical equipment.
• Interpret inspection plans, tests, and procedures.
• Recommend changes to procedures to improve quality and efficiency.
• Document nonconforming material per procedures.
• Assist and train others in test, measurement, and procedures.
• Ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
• Practice Total Quality principles.
• Acquire IPC-610/STD 001 and IPC-620 certifications as applicable.
