Job summary

Belcan in Tucson, AZ is seeking a QA Inspector to perform inspections of products, materials, and assemblies across production stages, ensuring compliance with aerospace quality standards. You will collect statistical data, prepare inspection reports including FAIR IAW AS9102, and maintain records.

The role requires GD&T knowledge, use of measuring equipment, and the ability to follow established procedures with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

Secondary certificate or high school diploma or equivalent.
Vocational training or related experience is beneficial.
2+ years of relevant aerospace/electronics experience preferred.
Ability to follow established job instructions and procedures with minimal supervision.
Apply a systematic QA approach using existing procedures to solve technical issues.
Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), assembly drawings, parts lists, workmanship standards, standard inspection procedures, wiring diagrams and tolerances.

Responsibilities

Inspect products, materials and components at various stages of production to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Gather statistical data from products and processes.
Perform visual inspections of soldered connections and mechanical assemblies.
Prepare and complete documentation for acceptance/rejection of inspected items.
Identify design, process or other inefficiencies and report quality concerns.
Maintain inspection records.
Create & review First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) per AS9102.
Perform customer source inspection.
