Job summary

Chromalloy in the Phoenix area is seeking a Quality Inspector to support receiving, in-process and final inspections for aerospace components. You will read and apply contract requirements, document non-conformities, and help ensure product integrity across the production flow.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, problem-solving, and collaboration with internal teams to meet delivery schedules and regulatory standards. A minimum of 1–2 years in quality within manufacturing is expected.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years quality experience or equivalent in manufacturing
• Ability to read and apply process specifications, customer and contract requirements
• Ability to read, interpret and understand requirements (B/P)
• Ability to obtain necessary certifications to comply with regulatory requirements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated with ownership and accountability
• Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
• Supports internal customers’ needs and meets delivery needs
• Strong written and oral skills
• Provides input to corrective actions and process improvements
• Lean skills to drive process improvements
• Provides supporting data reflecting team results

Responsibilities

• Open shipping containers and validate packing slips; inspect parts visually and dimensionally.
• Perform in-process and outsourcing inspections to meet delivery dates and verify conformance to data and specs.
• Inspect final products for completion and adherence to customer requirements; document discrepancies.
• Assist production in resolving quality issues and ensure vendors are on approved lists.
• Create purchase orders for spot operations and route components for processing.
• Record observations and recommend process improvements; communicate scheduling constraints.
