Job summary

Chromalloy is seeking a Quality Inspector to provide critical quality control across inspection support and shipping/receiving activities. You will interpret engineering drawings, verify specifications, and record data to ensure product reliability for aerospace components.

The role requires basic IT skills and at least 1 year in aviation, with 2+ years in dimensional/visual inspection. FAA certifications are preferred; overtime and shift timing may apply in a fast-paced manufacturing

Qualifications

• Associates degree in aviation or related field preferred.
• At least 1 year of aviation work experience.
• Minimum 2 years of basic dimensional/visual inspection on aviation equipment.
• Airframe and Powerplant FAA certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality control on inspection support and on shipping/receiving inspection support.
• Accurately interpret engineering drawings, customer specifications, and sampling procedures for recording and reporting quality data.
• Use precision tools for testing and measurement of products.
• Recommend modifications to achieve optimum quality within equipment capabilities.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Verify inspection steps and records are complete and traceable.
• Coordinate with Production and Quality to resolve issues and minimize delays.
• Ensure calibration of inspection tools and proper tagging of parts.
