Job summary

Verus Aerospace, LLC in Tacoma, WA, is seeking an Inspector to monitor and measure quality on close-tolerance aerospace machined parts. You will perform in-process, first article, and final dimensional inspections, set up and operate CMMs, and provide feedback to engineering and manufacturing.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of machine shop inspection experience, familiarity with aerospace specs, and strong skills in GD&T, blueprints, and documentation.

Qualifications

• 5 years of prior machine shop inspection experience.
• Aerospace experience preferred.
• Proficient with all basic inspection equipment.
• Able to read aerospace/customer specifications.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and GD&T tolerancing.
• Accurate setup and use of measuring devices.
• Maintain legible, organized written records.
• Contribute to a team and adapt to priorities.
• Capable of documenting work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Inspect parts and assemblies to drawings.
• Verify vendors and documentation.
• Record inspection results and maintain SPC data.
• Operate CMM and troubleshoot programs.
• Perform First Article inspections (AS9102).
• Ensure compliance with P.O. and specifications.
• Capture and interpret data for feedback to engineering.
