Job summary

Enjet Aero is seeking a Quality Inspector – First Piece at our Newington, CT facility. You will verify machine setups produce conforming parts before full-run release, and perform additional inspections on WIP and final lots using manual methods or CMM programs.

The role requires GD&T and blueprints knowledge, 1–3+ years in aerospace quality inspection, and at least 1 year operating a CMM with PC-DMIS or Hexagon software. US citizenship or permanent residency due to ITAR.

Qualifications

• 1-3+ years Aerospace/Manufacturing Quality inspection experience or formal training.
• Knowledge of GD&T, ANSI Y14.5, PWA 360/79360 or similar drawing interpretation.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and using measuring equipment.
• 1+ year experience operating a CMM, including part setup and program running.

Responsibilities

• Verify first pieces for conformance before operators proceed.
• Report and document first piece results and communicate to machinists and supervisors.
• Re-inspect after setup corrections until conformance is achieved; escalate when needed.
• Perform WIP or final inspections using manual methods or existing CMM programs.
• Set up and run CMM inspection programs, including alignment and calibration.
• Identify defects and document nonconformances; ensure proper disposition.
