Job summary

RTCA is a precision aerospace and defense manufacturer seeking a Quality Inspector—First Article Inspector to join our onsite team in Fife, WA. You will perform dimensional and visual inspections on raw materials, in-process parts, and finished components to ensure compliance with AS9100 and ISO standards.

Candidates read engineering drawings, interpret GD&T, and document inspections with FAIRs and traceability records.

Qualifications

• Experience in quality inspection within aerospace or precision manufacturing.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with AS9100/ISO 9001.
• Proficiency with standard inspection tools including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional and visual inspections using precision tools.
• Interpret drawings and ASME Y14.5 GD&T requirements.
• Maintain inspection records, FAIRs, and traceability documents.
• Support First Article Inspection (FAI) and AS9102 documentation.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering and Quality teams.
