Job summary

Aerotek in Pompano Beach, FL seeks a Quality Inspector to certify airworthiness of parts and ensure compliance with FAA, OEM, and ISO requirements. You will support shipping by visually inspecting hardware and issuing airworthiness certificates.

Key responsibilities include acting as a Designated Quality Representative for aerospace companies, auditing supplier products, handling customer returns, and maintaining knowledge of FAA regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience with FAA Form 8130-3 and aircraft components.
• Proficiency in First Article Inspection.
• Working knowledge and experience in SAP.
• Familiarity with AS9100 standards and blueprint reading.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a quality assurance inspector in Aviation or Aerospace.

Responsibilities

• Certify parts using FAA Form 8130-3 to meet FAA requirements.
• Act as a Designated Quality Representative (DQR) for aerospace companies, approving aerospace parts for their quality systems.
• Ensure supplier products meet all necessary requirements.
• Resolve product quality problems effectively.
• Process customer returns in a timely manner.
• Communicate with customers, OEM, and FAA to ensure quality compliance.
• Manage the Quality Control Hold Area efficiently.
• Maintain a high level of knowledge of all FAA documents and laws.
• Perform internal quality audits to AS9100 standards.
