Job summary

Aerotek is hiring a Quality Inspector for Springdale, AR. The role focuses on visual and dimensional inspections of aerospace engine components across receiving, in-process, and final stages, ensuring parts meet quality standards and customer requirements.

The inspector will use calipers, micrometers, and CMM data to verify workmanship, document results, and guide repairs when needed. Training on day shift with growth toward full sign-off is available.

Qualifications

• 1+ year dimensional inspection experience using calipers and micrometers.
• Hands-on manufacturing experience in a production or repair environment.
• Ability to perform detailed visual inspections to identify surface defects.
• Proficiency in reviewing and interpreting CMM reports and inspection documentation.
• Accurate entry of inspection & testing results into quality systems.
• Willingness to learn and apply organizational quality standards and processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections on incoming parts during receiving inspection to confirm condition and work scope.
• Verify the work scope of parts for the quoting team by reviewing part condition and applicable inspection results.
• Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT), dimensional, and visual inspections through the manufacturing and repair process.
• Perform in-process inspections, including dimensional testing after machining runs, to ensure parts meet tolerances.
• Carry out final inspections, including NDT and dimensional checks, before parts are released and shipped.
• Review and interpret CMM reports to confirm dimensional accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• Identify scratches, scuffs, and defects and determine impact on part acceptability.
• Enter testing and inspection results into the Solumina system accurately and timely.
• Determine repair actions based on inspection findings and standards.
• Support receiving, in-process, and final inspections across multiple parts and product lines.
• Collaborate with team lead to manage workload and ensure timely final inspections.
