Job summary

Primus Aerospace is seeking a Quality Inspector focused on CMM programming for 1st shift. The role blends hands-on inspection with independent PC‑DMIS programming to support production and quality requirements.

The candidate will perform first piece, in-process, and final inspections, write and optimize PC‑DMIS programs, analyze data, and create detailed reports while maintaining GMPD standards. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of CMM inspection experience.
• 1+ years of independent PC-DMIS programming experience (writing/editing programs).
• FAI experience and data reporting.
• Working knowledge of GD&T.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot CMM faults.
• Aerospace experience desired.
• Willingness to work overtime and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Perform First Piece, In-Process, and Final inspections per customer requirements and prints.
• Write, revise, and optimize CMM programs (PC-DMIS) to meet specs.
• Analyze CMM reports and inspection data for adherence to prints.
• Create CMM setup and operating instructions per part/machine.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports with results and statistics.
• Support QC with FAI, in-process, or final inspections as needed.
• Maintain CMM programs and data backups; update software.
• Coordinate with production, manufacturing engineering, and quality personnel.
• Ensure records align with internal inspection procedures and ERP usage.
