Job summary

Figeac Aero North America, Inc in Wichita, KS is seeking a Quality Inspector for the 3rd shift (10:00pm–6:30am). The role requires 3+ years in quality inspection of aerospace parts; training may be provided for exceptional candidates.

Salary is listed as $19.00 to $24.00 hourly with a $1.00 shift differential. This is a full-time position with comprehensive benefits and opportunities to contribute to aerospace manufacturing excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of quality inspection experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment, preferred
• Experience with aerospace machining inspection, preferred
• Must possess excellent communication skills both written and oral.
• Ability to work on a team as well as independently.
• Must have strong organizational skills.
• Must be dependable and have reliable transportation to work.
• Must be proficient in MS Office applications.
• Must be able to read, analyse, and interpret blueprints, and general procedures.
• Must be able to interpret and understand OEM specifications
• Knowledge of measuring equipment (e.g. micrometers, callipers, height gages, Isoscope etc.)
• Detail oriented, team player, and very organized with the ability to multi-task
• Comprehension of machining process
• Flexible schedule to work overtime and shift work as needed
• Flexible to assist other departments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections on large aluminium machined parts. (<20+ feet)
• Parts will be inspected to engineering drawings, industry standards, and specifications.
• Read and interpret models (Catia), Drawings, and Parts lists
• Apply attention to detail to Drawings, Production Processes, Work Orders, etc
• Verifies completion of Quality documents and accurate representation of product flow throughout the process
• Use measuring tools such as calliper's, micrometer, height gage, and dial indicators as needed
• Create NCRs as needed if parts are non-conforming.
