Job summary

Kemco Aerospace is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector for our St. Louis, MO site. This on-site role focuses on hands-on inspection of precision-machined parts to ensure they meet engineering specs and quality standards.

You will read prints, use micrometers/calipers and other tools, document results, and communicate findings to teams. Prior machining quality exposure and a strong attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification preferred.
• Experience in a machining environment preferred.
• Familiarity with quality inspection processes and CMM.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform first-article, in-process, roaming, and final inspections on precision-machined parts
• Use a wide range of inspection and measurement tools daily; inspection activities comprise 90% or more of the role
• Read and interpret engineering prints, drawings, and specifications to verify product requirements
• Conduct detailed visual and dimensional inspections to identify defects or non-conformances
• Accurately document inspection results and complete required quality records and forms
• Communicate inspection findings to the quality, production, and engineering teams as needed
• Support additional quality department tasks and initiatives as assigned
