Job summary

Kemco Aerospace in St. Louis, MO, is seeking an Aerospace Assembly Technician to perform precision desktop assembly of components and subassemblies in accordance with engineering drawings and quality standards.

You will use fine motor skills to handle small parts, follow detailed work instructions, and collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Production to resolve assembly issues. The role requires high attention to detail and reliable attendance in a controlled manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1–3 years of manufacturing assembly experience preferred.
  • Experience reading and interpreting basic assembly drawings.
  • Experience in precision/controlled manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Ability to read basic assembly instructions and follow procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform precision desktop assembly of aerospace components, subassemblies, and assemblies.
  • Follow detailed work instructions, engineering drawings, and assembly procedures.
  • Utilize fine motor skills to assemble small components, fasteners, and intricate parts.
  • Operate precision hand tools and small assembly equipment.
  • Inspect parts prior to and during assembly to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
  • Perform basic inspection checks using measuring tools as required.
  • Maintain clean and organized workstations consistent with aerospace manufacturing standards.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with process improvements.
  • Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to resolve assembly issues.
