M-F, Day shift 6a-3p

Rate: 33-35hr

Job Description

The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring compliance with all Quality Control inspections and procedures. Reporting to the Chief Inspector/Head of Quality, this role plays a critical part in maintaining safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence within the Repair Station.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Aircraft Inspection & Quality Control
  2. Review incoming aircraft maintenance flight logs to determine required work.
  3. Conduct primary inspections on aircraft to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  4. Verify proper documentation, procure necessary forms and work orders, and transfer work requirements accordingly.
  5. Oversee all work in progress, ensuring adherence to quality and regulatory standards.
  6. Accept or reject completed work based on compliance with work orders and FAA regulations.
  7. Perform internal and external audits as needed.
  8. Conduct receiving inspections to verify material and component compliance.
  9. Regulatory Compliance & Safety Assurance
  10. Ensure inspection procedures align with FAA-approved engineering instructions and maintenance manuals.
  11. Perform detailed inspections for proper installation, security, safety, and workmanship.
  12. Conduct pressure tests and verify materials, fasteners, and component conformity.
  13. Validate all entries in aircraft maintenance flight logs, including airworthiness releases.
  14. Assist in developing and refining processes, procedures, and workflow scheduling.
  15. Cross-Department Coordination & Support
  16. Collaborate with various departments to optimize resource allocation and scheduling.
  17. Provide support for Component Shop and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul) tooling design.
Qualifications & Experience:
Required:
  1. Active A&P FAA license.
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance or a related field.
  3. Strong understanding of Quality Control and Inspection processes.
  4. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  5. Ability to read and interpret precision measurement equipment and technical manuals.
  6. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  7. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred:
  1. Experience with turbo-prop aircraft.
  2. Prior experience in data entry or word processing.
  3. Previous exposure to aircraft component shop operations.
  4. Bachelor's degree (not required but considered a plus).
Physical & Work Environment Requirements:
  1. Must maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  2. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-noise environment.
  3. Must be able to walk, stand, reach overhead, squat, bend, and climb ladders.
  4. Ability to lift and maneuver objects as needed.
  5. Clear vision (20/20 with or without correction) and good hearing are required.
  6. Occasional domestic travel may be required (up to 10%).
