Job summary

Meyer Tool in Cincinnati, OH, seeks a Day Shift Inspection Supervisor to lead the Quality Inspectors, manage KPI performance, and ensure AS9100 compliance. You will supervise daily inspection activities, coordinate with engineering and production, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining safety standards.

You will mentor staff, conduct training, and ensure timely reporting of quality metrics. FAA testing and ITAR considerations are part of the role in this safety-sensitive environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or related field with 2+ years of leadership experience.
• High School diploma with 5+ years of relevant manufacturing leadership experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering with 2+ years of relevant leadership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Quality Inspectors and conduct performance reviews.
• Ensure 100% certification on required inspection equipment/processes.
• Track and maintain KPIs: first-pass yield, scrap rate, rework rate, inspection throughput, on-time delivery.
• Drive productivity improvements and lead corrective actions to reduce non-conformance.
• Coordinate with engineering, production, QA, and management for cross-functional alignment.
• Maintain 100% audit readiness and AS9100 compliance; promote safety and continuous improvement.
• Provide training on inspection techniques, safety, equipment operation, and documentation.
• All other responsibilities as assigned to fulfill business needs.
