Job summary

Meyer Tool is seeking a Quality Inspector for the Day Shift in South Windsor, CT. The role involves inspecting production and prototype hardware to predefined methods and specifications, performing in-process and final inspections, and cross-training across inspection areas.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, strong math and communication skills, and experience with precision measuring tools (micrometers, dial calipers).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a team environment with strong communication and reliability.
• Experience interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
• Proficiency with precision measuring equipment (micrometers, dial calipers).
• Experience in a quality system certified to ISO9001/AS9100 or Nadcap is a plus.
• FAA testing and training may be required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect production and prototype hardware to predetermined standards and specifications.
• Perform in-process and final inspections of machined parts.
• Cross-train in multiple inspection areas and support audits.
• Adhere to AS9100 and other quality standards.
• Notify supervisor of quality concerns and assist with corrective actions.
